Where do you think your passion for music came from?

Pete: Ever since I was a baby I just loved music.

Zach: It's way better than doing drugs

Joe: I've always been into music.

Doug: I’m not quite sure, there has always been something enticing about music whether it be writing or listening.

Who are your biggest influences?

Pete: Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me, Rush, Frank Zappa, Intervals, Chon

Zach: Blake Richardson from Between the Buried and Me is my idol as far as drummers go.

Joe: Metallica, Primus, System of a Down

Doug: Death, Voivod, Exodus ect ect.

To you, what is the most important thing about playing live?

Pete: Sounding tight and not having gear issues.

Zach: Playing well and leaving a lasting impression on whoever is watching.

Joe: Playing good and having fun.

Doug: Getting your crowd going whether it’s a full house or the few friends left at the end of the night, the crowd is so important to a performance.

What is the one song you wished you had written?

Pete: Between the Buried and Me’s whole Colors album.

Zach: Selkies: The Endless Obsession

Joe: There's too many to name.

What are the biggest lessons learned over the years?

Pete: Don’t drink too much before going on stage.

Zach: Keep your friends close. People die way too often

Joe: Practice makes perfect.

Doug: Live your life now or don’t bother living at all.

Are there any bands/artists that you recommend that don’t much attention?

Pete: Epicenter is pretty great.

Zach: Plenty. Check out An Unction in Braille, Valence is incredible, Capture the Sun, Pathogenic, Aegri Somnia.... I can go on all day

Joe: Humdinger and the Bucksnort.

Doug: Ice Giant, Alions, Black Absence to start.

If there is one thing you would like to achieve in your career, what would it be?

Pete: I’d like a custom shop guitar at some point.

Joe: World domination

Doug: I’d love to play Wacken Fest before I die.

What’s the one thing you hate about touring and the music industry in general?

Pete: Driving really sucks when touring. The music industry is just focused on the money and not good music.

Zach: Driving for hours and hours

Joe: Long car rides when touring sucks.

Doug: The music industry is pretty garbage, everyone is selling their souls for a minute of fame. Thankfully we have the underground metal scene.

What are your biggest interests away from music?

Pete: Magic the Gathering, Tolkien’s books, and comics.

Zach: I fish and hunt constantly. The wilderness is my home.

Joe: I don't do much I just enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.

Doug: I really enjoy hiking.

What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome and how did you overcome it?

Pete: The pain in my knee when I broke it in the mosh pit before our set and still played that night.

Zach: Opiate addiction. I did the methadone thing for a couple years. These assholes and my sweet lady gave me something wonderful to live for and now I've been free of that garbage for a couple years.

Doug: For the last 5 years I’ve been a victim of neurological pain onset of surgery and because my injury is in my face, it's been a big struggle for me to honestly just exist day to day. But with a strong support system and a strong will, I am able to face day to day life with little struggles and I’ll be damned if this will keep me down anymore.
